The advantages of renewable energy
At our headquarters, commitment to Nature can be seen in the use of environmentally friendly materials and renewable energies. The buildings use mainly wood, glass and metal structures with natural light.
On-site buildings are equipped with four types of renewable energy:
- 78 m2 of solar panels for heating general supply water, which produce 75,000kw/year and help save 4.5 tons of carbon annually, i.e. the equivalent of 63,000 km of driving distance for a city car.
- 618m2 of photovoltaic panels that produce 110,081 kw per year, covering 23% of the electricity needs of a 6,000m2 warehouse and helping save 19.8 tons/year of carbon, i.e. 20 years of gas heating for a family of 4.
- 1 Canadian well with 800 linear meters of underground tubing at 3 meters below surface, helping temper the building temperature to between 18 and 22 degrees Celsius in 48,000 m3.
- 5 heat pumps with a cumulated power of 680KW and 70% of energy savings in comparison with traditional heating.
